III. Treasurer’s Report.  Year end Financial Statement handed out.   Motion by Black Rive Falls; Second by Onalaska to Approve, motion passes.

IV. Committees

            A.  League Statistician; per Dave Long.   There appear to be lots of league games not being played yet.  Need to remember that those games need to be played.  Remind coaches to turn in only score sheets from league games, no other games.  Have coaches check the website to make sure the games are being recorded.

            B.  Girls Coordinator; per Del Scanlon.  There is information the WAHA website for the 1990-92 level girls developmental team try-outs.  Try-outs will be offered on Feb. 19 at Onalaska 7:00-9:00 PM, Feb. 26 at Eau Claire Hobbs Arena 5:00-7:00 PM and March 8th in Verona.

            C.  League Selects; per Dawn Bernamann.  Will use the same system as last year.  She will e-mail out the sign-up rosters to reps.  Please distribute to coaches.  Need the rosters and money turned in by the Feb. league meeting.  Coaches may select 5 skaters and a goalie or 6 skaters.  Dates are:  March 25 & 26 Division II and April 1 & 2 Division I

            D.  WAHA; per Bob Pitel.  He will post any e-mails he receives from Fran Finco relating to any WAHA news/information on to the website.

            E.  Website; per Bob Pitel.  Send things to Bob and he will post on the website.  He will post the minutes to the meetings.  He will also change headings on the home page to make clearer the links.

V. Old Business

            A.  BRF received 115 league patches.  They owe $ .75 (75 cents) for each one.  La Crescent has paid.  If you still need them please let Bob know.  He will bring Blue Line patches to the next meeting.  Let him know how many of those you need.  They are $.60 (60 cents) each.  These go to defensemen and are chosen by coaches.  The league recommends 2 per team, but each association may get as many as they like.

            B. Altoona Peewees; the team appears to be getting better with penalties.  They may have 1 player who is more aggressive.  The coach has been talked to and will hopefully encourage clean play from here on out.

            C.  Fair play points; Dave has been keeping track.  They are in-line with game points at this time.  It doesn’t hurt to keep track.  We will look further and discuss at the March meeting to see if we want to add to league standings for next year.

VI. New Business

            A.  West Salem-Onalaska Bantam Game; Team reps are working on it between themselves.  Tentative date is set per Tim Flood.

            B.  Other game scheduling problems;  per Del Scanlon please keep in mind as Reedsburg Bantam B team tries to reschedule they are also working around the Reedsburg Peewee team schedule as many of them have been rostered on the Bantam team in order to have a Bantam team.

            C.  Forfeitures-league policy; the forfeit score sheet is supposed to be signed by both coaches.  This is more difficult now that we sign score sheets before the game.  If the decision to forfeit is made at a later time, contact the other coach, the forfeiting coach signs a blank score sheet (indicating forfeit) and send to the statistician.

            D.  Rosters; need to be turned in to Dave Long tonight.  If don’t have them, get them to him ASAP.  Bob will contact Dave in 1 week, whoever hasn’t turned them in by then Bob will post on the website as a reminder.

            E.  Annual meeting; Set for the second Wednesday of April (April 12) at The Greens in Sparta with a Buffet dinner like last year.  League will pay for dinners for Board Members and spouses along with Association Presidents and spouses and President Award Winners and spouses.  Any association may nominate someone for the President’s Award.  Bob then presents at the Annual meeting.  Have nominations to him by the March meeting.  Can be someone who has gone above and beyond in promoting, making possible, rink work, etc. for the league or an individual association.

            F.  Referees; Kelly Rickert discussed a problem that occurred in BRF.  They had league games scheduled and refs from the HS team scheduled.  Unbeknownst to the ref scheduler the HS coach planned out of town games for that time.  They found out too late to find replacement refs.  What they did was have certified coaches (all who had been refs at one time or another) ref the games with the opposing coaches consent and then BRF forfeited the games.  Are there any league rules to this?  No, more of a WAHA or USAHockey jurisdiction.  Appears to be a very unusual situation and BRF handled it the best way they could.

Motion to adjourn at 8:50 by Tomah, Second by BRF, meeting adjourned.

Next Meeting Wednesday February 8th, 7:30 PM The Greens in Sparta
