IV.              A.  League Statistician – Dave Long Has gotten the first few Scoresheets (with errors noted), will be up on the website this weekend.  Can get Dave the Scoresheets through e-mail, or fax. (866-779-WMHL).  The information is available on the website. There are no changes in the scoresheet process.

B.     League Selects-Dawn Bernamann, asked for association’s input at the last meeting.  Viroqua and Baraboo both think we should drop Bantams for the tourney and add mites.  Onalaska moved to drop Bantams for the tournament, WS seconded, motion carries.  WS moves to add all Mite I and II’s to selects tournament, Sparta seconds, 1 yay, 16 nay, motion denied.  Onalaska moved to take 6 players from Mite I and 3 players from Mite II, Baraboo seconded, amend to make that only for teams with 2 mite teams, an association cannot send more than 9 players to selects tournament, if only a Mite I team then 6 player limit, if also have a Mite II team than up to 3 more players, Baraboo seconds the amendment, 15 yay, 2 nay, motion carries.  Mites to play the same weekend as Division I.  Division II weekend is March 23-25, Division I weekend is March 30-April 1st.  Association wanting to host should have a bid in for next month’s meeting.

C.    Girl’s Coordinator – no report

D.    WAHA- Deadline for state tourney application is November 15th.

V.                 A.  There were some problems for a couple of associations at the Bantam level.  We have 12 teams and divided them up equally by putting Viroqua and Reedsburg at the Division II level even though they requested to be at Division I.

B.     Get a list to Bob of all coaches and managers for your association and their contact information.  The WMHL highly encourages coaches and/or managers make contact with the opposing team to make sure the game is still on as scheduled.

C.    Still some problems with the time it takes for scheduling.  Discussion on the pros/cons of pre-scheduling for some of the closer associations and looking at week night games to keep weekends open for the further distance teams.

D.    Patches; get to Bob by Friday the estimated number of patches you will need for your association.

VI.              A.  Next Year’s Scheduling meeting:  WS made the motion to hold 2 meetings with WMHL reps at both.  After the 1st meeting go back to your association and let them know decisions about team placements, come to the second meeting or e-mail to the President that everything is fine, Onalaska seconded, motion approved.  Next year’s meetings will be held on Wednesday October 3, 2007 and Wednesday October 10 2007.

B.     New rules and impact on 3 penalty rule:  there is concern that with the new rules put in place by USAHockey there will be a greater chance that players will get more than 3 penalties in many games which will also increase the length of time for games.  WS made a motion to move to 5 penalties per game than sit out the rest of the game and 1st period of the next game, second by Baraboo, motion denied.  BRF made a motion to keep the 3 penalty rule and take out the having to sit out the 1st period of the next game, WS seconded, 10 yay, 6nay, motion carried.

Onalaska made a motion to adjourn, BRF seconded, motion carried, meeting adjourned.
