IV. Committees

            A.  League Statistician; per Dave Long.  Estimates 30% of scoresheets incorrectly filled out.  Sent out e-mail to all with most flagerant mistakes, please pass on to coaches, scorekeepers.  Also tracking multiple penalaties.  Ther have already been a few players with 3 penalities in a game, need to make sure the player is sitting the rest of that game and the 1st period of the next.  How do we insure that is happening?  No way the next opposing coach knows.  Also, make sure refs/scorekeepers are making sure the number they are attributing goals to are really listed on the scoresheet, i.e. ref gives goal to #14, there is no #14 on the roster.

            B.  Girls Coordinator; per Del Scanlon.  He will have the try-out forms next meeting for the WAHA teams at the end of the season.  Had a question regarding the playing of U14 players on a U12 team.  They would not be eligibile for WAHA tournaments but the WMHL Board has approved the playing of U14 girls on the U12 Reedsburg team.  Therefore, those girls are permitted to play in all league games.

            C.  League Selects; per Dawn Bernamann.  Bids for 2006 Selects Tournament due tonight.  Sparta was the only association to present a bid.  They bid $2,000 for each level tournament.  It includes ice time on Friday 6:00-9:00 PM and Saturday & Sunday from 8:00-8:00.  The bid will go down to $1500 if they have to reduce the Sunday ice time to 2:00.  There will be T-shirt sales, Chuck-A-Puck, and Concessions to go to Sparta.  WS made a motion to approve bid as presented by Sparta, second by CRG, Approved.  Viroqua made a motion to reduce tournament player fees to $35 a player, second by Ona., approved.  Discussed the number of players on a team, seems to be getting higher and higher with each team also sending a goalie.  Decided to have each team submit  5 players and a goalie.

            D.  WAHA; per Bob Pitel.  Fran Finco sent the State Play-down info.  Bob will post to the website.

            E.  Website; per Bob Pitel.  Bob will post minutes to the meetings on the website as well as the agenda for the next meeting.  Let him know about anything to add to the agenda.

V. Old Business

            A.  Patches were handed out for this season.  Bob will bring again next month for those associations not present tonight.  Please bring checks to cover cost of patches at $.75 (75 cents) each.

            B.  Bob received an e-mail from Portage.  Concerned about Baraboo taking Mite level players from Portage without league approval.  Bob will investigate further and bring back information to the next meeting.  Portage also announced that they are selling their chiller system, boards and ice conditioner.

            C.  Fair play points; Dave has begun keeping track.  Not much to report yet with the exception of the couple teams that have had players with multiple penalities in game.  Scoresheets can be submitted to wmhlscorers@gmail.com

VI. New Business

            A.  Bid for Selects Tourney went to Sparta.

            B.  Teams dropped;  no changes from last meeting.

            C.  The Squirts schedules will remain as is.  Coaches are encouraged to schedule pick-up games if they feel they don’t have enough games.

            D.  WS asked if how many associations have edgers for their rinks.  Several do, he will contact one to find out about borrowing or renting monthly.

            E.  WS also reported that they have had to use the AED already this season.  It was needed for a community member.

            F.  Reminder that official rosters need to turned in to the statistician at the January meeting.

Motion to adjourn by Onalaska, second by Tomah, meeting adjourned 8:45 pm
