D.  Onalaska – West Salem Bantam Game:  Has been scheduled for February 18 10:00 AM in West Salem.

VI. New Business

A.  West Salem-Reedsburg PeeWee A Game:  Reedsburg coach cancelled the League game the morning of the game scheduled for WS.  Per League rules, they will be fined $100 which they will pay to the League, the League will reimburse WS and they forfeit the game to WS.

B.  Other game scheduling problems; per Tim Flood (Ona.).  There was a great deal of miscommunication between the PeeWee A teams of Reedsburg and Onalaska.  E-mails and phone calls started in Dec. to get the game scheduled for Reedsburg on Feb. 5th rescheduled.  Lots of phone calls but no direct contact between team reps and/or coaches.  Onalaska thought game was cancelled, Reedsburg showed up to play the game.  Discussion about Onalaska appeared to make efforts to contact Reedsburg coach, didn’t just not show up.  Tin Flood said he will go back to the Onalaska Board and discuss what Reedsburg lost by the game not being held.  Very tight ice time in Reedsburg from here on out.  Motion by BRF to table the issue until next month, second by Altoona, approved.  Very good example as to why League games should always be verified ahead of time.  Motion by CRG to have at least 2 contacts available for each team and made available to the League, died due to lack of second.

C. Potential Rule Change:  The idea was brought up to make a change so relatives of players can’t referee those games.  Discussion centered on the impracticality of rule due to limited number of refs available, difficulty getting refs equal number of games, most refs are part of hockey families.  Suggestion to put in Jobs List a reminder to be impartial.

Motion to adjourn at 8:50 by BRF, Second by Reedsburg, meeting adjourned.

Next Meeting Wednesday March 15th, 7:30 PM The Greens in Sparta

*** Please note the March Meeting will be the 3rd Wed. of the month***
